Futuracha
If you know us you know we are fascinated by the Futuracha typeface and its variety of uses. The typeface can be used in a linear fashion for a heading or each individual letter or character can be brought together to create amazing compositions (like our Motivational Poster and Poster for Productivity).
What we really wanted to explore with this is how the Futuracha typeface translates to material.
As Behance noted, “The name is inspired by cucaracha (cockroach in spanish), whose antennae also inspired the letters' design. The letters' edges radically extend in a forceful way trying to remind the art deco's style. The serifs are based on John Baskerville typefaces.”
Take a look below to see how these characteristics played out and check out our Motivational Artwork and Artwork for Productivity to see the Futuracha typeface cutout.
